Title: Vinculum II long file name support
Post by: sgnewey on February 17, 2022, 10:25:25 AM
Hi

First posting, so please be gentle!

Does anybody know what the current situation is regarding long file name support for Vinculum II (firmware V2DAP)?

Application note 189 refers to a LFAT driver library, which must be requested from FTDI. I e-mailed the support address several days ago, but haven't had any reply so far.

I found a post on this forum from 2018 that also asked about long file names.

See this post: https://www.ftdicommunity.com/index.php?topic=56.0 (https://www.ftdicommunity.com/index.php?topic=56.0)

Unfortunately, I get authentication errors when trying to access the FTP link referred to in the reply to that post, despite trying different browsers and FTP clients, disabling firewalls, etc. and also manually trying different variations on the link address/username/password. Does anybody know if that old link is still valid, and in fact, whether that library is still suitable for current releases of the Vinculum development toolchain?

The previous post refers to a sample application V2DAPLFN that uses the LFN library. Presumably that's part of the download from the FTP link? Are there any other options to download the library and sample application?

Many thanks.

Hello,

Yes we can provide you with an LFAT driver library.

The FTP links are no longer valid as we migrated to SFTP so we are unable to share the SFTP login credentials on a public forum.

Please contact your local technical support office and we will be able to supply you the files:
