Title: FT234XD - 3V3OUT is at 3.86V
Post by: ddjkio on June 11, 2018, 05:00:26 PM
Hi, I'm trying to use the FT234XD for both the power supply and USB-to-Serial for my device. The device will draws less than 15 mA.
I've tested the FT234XD (from Digikey) chips on my board, it produces 3.86V with and without the load connected.
We also ordered UMFT234XD dev boards. These work well, connected to the load and without they provide a nice stable 3.3V supply.
What could be the problem? Are there some settings that we're missing?

Hello,

It sounds like there may be an issue with your custom board.

Can you please send the schematics to support1@ftdichip.com (support1@ftdichip.com) and we can review them?

Best Regards,
