Title: TX/RX LEDs on FT2232HL
Post by: imagiko on November 14, 2018, 10:40:15 PM
Hi,

I am working on making a board using the FT2232HL board and I have a TX/RX led connected on channel B (attached diagram)
I have configured channel B to be a serial port and I am able to use it for serial comm. However the LED does not respond when there is serial TX/RX traffic. Do I need some additional configuration to enable the TX/RX led pins? Or is there something incorrect in the schematic?

Thanks!

Hello,

There shouldn't be any other configuration necessary to use the TXLED# and RXLED# pins when the IC is in UART mode. However the resistor value you have chosen may be too large, our development boards use 220 ohm resistors, could you give one this size a try?
