Title: Widora_NEO: FT232H control signal for TFT Display
Post by: midaszhou on December 07, 2017, 06:45:09 AM
Hi,
I use ft232h to link a TFT display with a usb socket of my embedded device Widora_NEO ,  ft232h is set to async BITBANG mode , with D0~D7 for RGB data interface to the tft display. It works fine and usb speed can reache 12MBytes/s, you can play movie on the display. I use open source ftdi library in https://www.intra2net.com/en/developer/libftdi, and my test codes put here:  https://github.com/widora/ctest/blob/master/ft232_tft.c
 or refer to: http://sns.widora.cn/topic/296/widora-neo-%E9%80%9A%E8%BF%87usb%E7%8E%A9%E8%B7%91%E9%A9%AC%E7%81%AF%E5%92%8C%E6%8E%A5tft%E5%B1%8F/2

There is one problem however, a D/CX (data or command) control signal must send from my embedded device with an independent line, and I cann't figure out how to produce this siganl by FT232H itself.
Attached is the timing sequence of  display control signal. The WRX signal accords with WRSTB# well.

Thanks.

I have a similar setup on the bench, but using the FT2232H, I have a FT232 breakout board that I can throw in and try. What is your pinout from FT232 to LCD ?
