Title: USBHostHID with a composit HID Kybd+Mouse VNC2
Post by: CTENGR on August 15, 2022, 02:43:57 AM
Does anyone know the steps change USBHostHID to monitor the keyboard on a composite HID (mouse and keyboard)? I have this working with a direct USB keyboard, but do not see a means to enumerate it and set it to the keyboard when the mouse is detected as "port 0" in a wireless dongle with mouse + keyboard?

Any example code would be appreciated.

Thank you!
John

Hi John,

we have some HID precompilied firmware that can help you. The HID firmware for VNC2 are for host port 1. The precompiled firmware can be found on our website https://ftdichip.com/firmware/precompiled/ (http://url). You should have a look at  AN 193 VNC2 SPI Master to USB HID Class Host Bridge (http://url). there are other HID class firmware, however i believe this one will be most rlevent to you.

Best Regards
