Discussion - Software / A bug for PWM_HZ command?
« on: June 21, 2018, 05:26:44 PM »
Hello, I am trying to modify the pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency. I have read the programming datasheet for FT81x guide from http://brtchip.com/wp-content/uploads/Support/Documentation/Programming_Guides/ICs/EVE/FT81X_Series_Programmer_Guide.pdf  on page 82;

Code: [Select]
These bits define the backlight PWM output frequency in HZ. The default is
250 Hz after reset. The valid frequency is from 250Hz to 10000Hz.

I try to change the default frequency to 10000Hz, but I do not see any change, this I want to do to decrease the noise generated by the backlight, it is modulated with the audio output.

It is possible to modify this frequency, with solfware, it is not possible. A bug?

Best regards. Tomás.

Discussion - Software / Re: FT900 play video demo issue

Excuse me intrusion, recently in MCU of great features such as STM32F767 or Teensy 3.x we have made to play videos of resolution 795x475 pixels with audio.

I have used the examples of the administrator a few messages above, and I do not see fluidity in these files. I have to remember, with an application to convert .avi files with sound, the minute goes up to only 13MBytes, while the examples of FTDI and without sound, every minute is 100MBytes ...

The fps used is at 25, great quality.
The audio is compressed in Mu-Law Mono with sampling frequency of 8000Hz

In this link I put the file for your test. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uCh_utiiPVWy4C01Xd7Hyqv1T31byWtL
This file of 1 munute and 21 seconds, only 24,5MBytes

In fact, we have used the special library from our repository; https://github.com/FT81xMania/GD23ZU

June 7,
Team MexSpa publish library all series MCU' s STM32F4x, F103x and ,Nucleo-F7x  Teensy 3.5/6 playback videos .avi (with sound) here a preview of the future ...

Demo launching https://youtu.be/O8OUXB02g3w

It has been possible and give great thanks to James Bowman, where we, Team MexSpa, modify the library.
Thank you Japanese user @nopnop2002, this is possible...

Repository new library;   https://github.com/FT81xMania/GD23ZU

Hello, my name is Tomas.

I use my FT8xx screens for hobbies and also I have the honor of presenting our space, where friends are very enthusiastic about these screens.

We have modified library of James Bowman, my friend from Mexico @TFTLCDCyg and we have the whole family of STM32 F1x, F407 and F7xx working including playback video with sound. Also in Teensy 3.5/6

The repository; https://github.com/lightcalamar
and our forum this link; https://ft81xmania.com/comunidad/

Best regards from Spain
