Discussion - Hardware / FT232RL does not persist EEPROM contents
« on: July 02, 2022, 01:16:59 PM »
I made my own design for an usb to serial converter around an FT232RL converter, mainly for getting switchable 1.8v - 5v IO.
I control the regulators using two of the GPIO pins and need to program the FT to have those configured as GPIO.
When I program the chip using the official ft_prog or with third party tools the software says it's sucessfully programmed but the eeprom contents are not persisted. No errors at all anywhere, the changes are just not persisted. I have tried it with multiple tools, multiple computers and multiple FTDI chips. Maybe there's something wrong with my design that prevents eeprom writing?
