windows driver installation
« on: February 12, 2021, 09:54:45 AM »

Hi All,

as I am a linux user, I have no idea how to install the windows 10 driver and explain it to a other person.

What file should i double click in the 64-bit directory?

maybe include a readme with the drivers explaining the procedure?

Hello,

For Windows 10 the easiest way to install the driver is via the setup executable (in the comments column on the drivers download page).

Here is the direct link:
https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM21228_Setup.zip

Please download this file and unzip to give an exe file. Then, whilst keeping your device disconnected from the USB port, run the exe installer and follow the install wizard. Once complete, you can connect the USB plug and your cable will finish installing.

A Windows 10 Installation Guide is also available:
